Autocad Project

Need to offer a project on Autocad Autocad/Autodesk has a forge API. Using this API users can carry out certain processes on the CAD files programmatically. Using this API users upload file to Forge cloud and then further processing takes place. The API has a viewer which reads these files and renders them in a browser along with providing ways to read distance between 2 points in various metrics. The idea of the implementation was to carry out the upload and then read the distance programatically. [5:12 PM, 12/20/2018] Shantanu Daoo: Now the file upload was happening correctly and it was rendering in the viewer correctly as well. When the points were selected via the viewer, it was giving correct distance in meters. But when the same process is carried out correctly, the distance between 2 points is not the same as the manual process every single time. Some times it exceeds the actual whereas some times it falls short by some meters. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify a pattern in the API output to come up with some counter algorithms. If the manual distance is 30 meters for a certain file, it would give me 25 some times and 35 some times. The difference is not forming a pattern, to normalise or standardise it. I I think We are not been able to read the right dataset. What we are reading looks like a length, but it is not. It’s some other attribute I am focusing on 2 aspects - 1. Is there a pattern to this inconsistent values. If yes, I can create an algorithm to counter them 2. Is there any other atteibute in the file that will give us the correct output.
