Hi, As I understood your requirement and show your images which is a serial port device connected to the computer and the device will be generate some data and put it in text file or binary file after some interval in specific directory that is my understanding. I have experience in developing employee Access system that uses serial port and flushing the data in connected PC after every some time period in binary mode. I had develop uncoding software from binary to text and fetched the data and put that in database for employee Payroll purpose. I also have experience for connecting lab test unit for cotton industry to analyzing cotton-length and producing data in connected PC using serial port and same I have develop software for converting that binary file to text and put it in Database for further Inventory processing. I have also experience in connecting VB program in SAP for integration purpose. To complete this project VB is more enough to fetch the data from binary or text file whichever is available.
