We are seeking after-school tutors (Between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM) and one tutor to work two weekdays from 10 AM until 12 PM. Applicants must be available to tutor during those hours on weekdays. We also offer Test Prep Services for a variety of tests and our Aloha Academy Private Alternative School Program for students who do not function well in a traditional school environment. We are currently seeking five mentor/tutors with experience and expertise in: - Grades 6th 12th Mathematics. Algebra, Calculus and Statistics – Immediate need - 2nd grade – Reading and Math If you are not qualified to tutor students for these grade levels and subjects, please do not apply. Starting Compensation of $15 to $35 will be determined based on education, employment history, skills assessments, teaching proficiency and level of experience helping students. This is a contract position with a six-month probationary period. After which time the mentor/tutor may be eligible for a full-time position with full benefits. We do conduct regular performance reviews. We are seeking enthusiastic and highly skilled Tutors/Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is an expert at teaching students and will be responsible for engaging students of all ability levels in the subject areas. Responsibilities: • Work with children and help them learn. • Adjust to any issues that arise as the child evolves academically. • Have the student demonstrate proficiency in skills as they are covered. • Make sure children can do tasks independently. • Help the child learn not just for the present, but for their future. • Prepare lesson plans as prescribed by our Diagnostics and remediation app. • Record progress notes after each tutoring session which are then sent by email to parents or adult students. • Provide feedback to help us continually strive to offer the best, the best services for clients and the best working conditions for our staff. As a member of our faculty, you will use the student’s diagnostics assessment results blended with the student’s current curriculum to remediate skills deficiencies using our diagnostics and remediation application.
