To fix a connection issue to a WCF service that uses [login to view URL] biding on SSL. Please see the attached source code for the client program. The source code is only for your reference - you will be given remote access to the computer to work. Note: this task is only to fix the connection issue. Platform ----------- Windows7 / Visual Studio 2012/C# Service ---------- The WCF Service is a 3rd party service hosted in a Windows Service on a Widnows 2003R2 server. The svcutil program reports that the service running and listening to the designated port. The WCF Service uses netTcpBinding binding Firewall is all turned off on the server. Client Test Program --------------------------- Connection to the WCF service must use SSL. Running the program generates the following error at line 117: "Could not connect to [login to view URL]://w2003r2base:31405/XXXXXXXX. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:01.0420596. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it [login to view URL]:31405."

Respected Employer! I can troubleshoot and fix the TCP connection issue to WCF service. I looked at the source code it seems correct. Next, I need to check the service is listening on the designated port and also other settings like port not being blocked. Question: Does the connection attempt always fail with the error you mentioned? Or it works sometimes and fails sometimes? I am available to start working today at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard time. i have seen this problem before and have solved in our system. we use vb.net 2012. our system consumes a wcf service to get data from an sql server. this is an n-tier software model.

I have extensive experience with WCF. I've even designed a discovery process for clients to find the servers in the LAN and decide based on the contracts they expose and the contracts needed to which server to connect. I've done this on tcp, http, etc... Feel free to ask any questions.

Hi, I have lot of experience on working with all the microsoft technologies especially expertise in wcf services and configuration, we generally works with JavaScript frameworks like EXTJS so it was a must for us to have that strong grip on wcf services and configuration.
