Expert NodeJS Developer needed for API updates (No agency)

Hello, I have an ecommerce mobile application that relies on an API written in NodeJS. The API has one bug that I would like fixed first. After this, I need additional functionality added to the API's categories to improve our search function. I’m looking for an advanced/expert NodeJS developer with extensive experience who can provide solid solutions to some of the problems we have. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and must be able to work with Git and Docker. The application is containerized and hosted on GitLab. The project requirements will be provided through an Internal Issue Tracking system where detailed information will be provided for each task you will work on. This project powers two mobile applications (Android & iOS), and relies on several external services (Google pubsub, [login to view URL], twilio, and more) to work correctly. The ideal candidate must be familiar with API integration, be comfortable using postman to test APIs, very knowledgeable with NodeJS and is ideally available to work on a series of issues as we improve the app's functionality. In order to get started with this project, a chosen developer will be provided with the source code (via GitLab) and guided to setup the application locally, thereafter he/she will be required to resolve an identified bug in the software. You will be paid for resolving the bug. Once this is done and I'm convinced you have a solid understanding and experience, additional tasks will be provided. The bug is a minor one and shouldn't take an experienced developer long to resolve. P.S: I'm looking for individual freelancers, no agencies.
