I own web based software for irrigation water management called Probe Schedule. Part of the scheduling is irrigation valve scheduling and activation. The hardware actually opening the valves is the Nelson TD200 and Nelson Twig. This is an off line system but can take instructions via RS232 port. I want to put a plc between the PS and TD200. The plc will be hard wired to the TD200 (RS232) and will take the instructions and give the commands as and when needed. These commands are Valve X On or Valve Y Off. PS will generate a schedule for up to 200 valves, consisting of Valve number, time ON, duration.
