Hello,
I want to create an application based on the Android platform that automatically puts a person’s device on silent when he/she is in the middle of a meeting. The application should have access to the calendar items of the device and then allow the user (through the app) to check the events for which he/she wants to have a silent device. The device should be silenced for the entire duration of the event and then be switched to sounds again once the event is over.
Below more detailed instructions are provided:
1. Compatibility & Availability
1.1. The application is required to be supported by Android versions 2.3 and up.
1.2. The application does not need to be listed within the official android marketplace.
1.3. Installation of the application is required to follow the standardized android setup routine, as defined in the SDK.
2. Application
2.1. The application should make use of the calendar items that are saved on the device (the built-in calendar application).
2.2. The application should have the option to choose whether you want to silence your device during an event or not.
3. Licenses & Rights
3.1 The app needs to be licensed under the GNU GPL/v3, or some comparable open-source software license.
3.2 The app shall not be allowed to create network sockets.
3.3 The app shall not be allowed to access any other but the ”Silence mode” feature of the phone.
3.4 The app shall not be allowed to access the multimedia features of the device.
3.5 The app shall be allowed to modify or delete contents of the device storage.
I am looking for a person who has experience with Android-based application development, feels comfortable communicating in English and is passionate about his/her work. Sample works and portfolios will be highly appreciated! Additional detailed specification of the requirements can be provided upon request and input from developer is also appreciated!
Thank you!
