Helping those with autism is a cause close to my heart; not only is my ex-husband on the spectrum but as a teacher I have seen first hand the difficulties autistic children can face on a daily basis. I can only imagine how much harder it is cope when put in some of the situations you illustrate in the sample questions. (I knew one teenager who would have been completely dazzled by the flashing lights of a police car and unable to say anything; being able to prepare for such a situation would be immensely helpful to him.) This does not seem to be a very labor intensive editing job as the questions and the language in the sample you prove are fairly straightforward and already in good English. I know it would take me less time than the 12 days I have quoted, but I wanted to add an extra allowance for any corrections and changes you may feel are necessary. I have a literary-based degree and several years teaching experience; I am adept at tailoring my writing for any audience. Having worked with autistic teenagers in the past, I know the importance of keeping my language simple, free of abstract ideas and similies, and without a patronizing tone. I would be very happy to re-write a few of your sample questions so you could decide for yourself whether my style is right for the project.
