OpenERP/Odoo Import Process Modification

I need someone to modify the BOM (Bill of Material) Import process by adding two functions. Keep the original process in place, just copy it and create 2 versions of it as follows: 1- Import BOM: Add a new function to replace the existing validation function so that it gets the product_id from the product table based on two fields in the product table called section and variant. Once the product id is found, then the product is added to the BOM of the product to be manufactured. 2- Update BOM: This import process will actually update the existing BOM that was created in 1 - Import BOM as follows: - If the length is different then: 3.1 Subtract the quantity in the CSV file from the quantity in the BOM Record. If the remainder is zero, then delete the BOM record. 3.2 Create a new BOM record using the details in the CSV file, similar to 1 above. 3.3 If the remaining length is greater than 3m, then Add a By-Product record with the same details, with the remaining length (Of course you need to have the By-Product module installed) To explain the reason for the above, this is a custom manufacturing business where at the first stage we know the items required to manufacture a product. We basically know the section and the variant as they are given to us by another software. Hence we need to use 1- Import BOM to define the bill of material for this product. Once defined we let OpenERP do its magic and calculate what needs to be purchased and so on. Then at stage 2, we know the exact length of each bar required. Some bars need to be cut. The other software gives us this information. This is why we now we need to update the BOM to reflect the correct length each bar after it is cut. In case we have an off-cut bigger than 3m, then we need to kepp track of that item in the warehouse, which, in other words, is a by-product of cuting one of the bars.
