The strategy is a broad retail strategy targeted at all demographics with different sections of the website designed for each identified demographic. The website design will be modern but DIFFERENT from regular news aggregator websites. The site needs to combine the following: a) AMAZING design and format: Most news aggregators adopt the usual templates of a newspaper design. Headline news, blog section, advert space and other news. This website will come with a different design, eye catching and very attractive. While it is important to maintain the design for consistency and brand recognition, we are toying with the idea of changing the themes at specified intervals or to mark special events or holidays. f) Platform: No preference for any platform (I 've heard that six apart's movable type CMS is good) but the platform should achieve the following: i) very fast loading speed. ii)easy to use and navigate by users. iii) curate news from linked sites easily. iv) easy for bloggers to send content to the site (v) rank and promote news items based on visitors’ interest. V) handle website analytics easily vi) allow plugins to the site to improve the user experience. vii) optimized for SEO. The success of the business depends solely on traffic to the website, therefore the design has to standout from normal. We REALLY do not want a standard wordpress site. We need something out of the ordinary that jumps at the user. Remember that some of the users may not be very literate so SIMPLICITY of use and browsing will be a great idea. Nigeria's internet speed is still quite poor and any slow loading website will pose a problem.
