Graphic Designer

Ranch House Designs is seeking to hire a part time graphic designer, preferably someone who can be based out of Wharton, Texas but open to remote if the candidate is the right fit. Our ideal candidate is a very high impact, artistic graphic designer. Would be a fun position for someone who really likes promoting and advertising high end show cattle or registered cattle, since most of our clients are in this category. Must be able to design print advertisements using Photoshop. We are looking for a versatile designer. Some clients prefer a high end, luxury look, while others seek a more urban, grunge look. Our designs are typically very multi-dimensional, highly layered files with a lot of elements and effects. We provide access to premium fonts and a stock photo service. Primary responsibility will be: creating 1 page ads and fliers in photoshop Updating print projects using existing layered photoshop files Create print ready final art files Able to work on a tight turnaround time for projects typically 1 to 3 days. Would be a huge plus if this candidate is also comfortable creating logos in illustrator and creating catalogs using data merge in InDesign. Wordpress experience would almost guarantee a full time position opportunity. Designer is simply responsible for graphic design. They will work with a project manager who oversees the project and communicates with the client. This will be an hourly paid design position. We are willing to guarantee a minimum of 10 hours a week for at least 4 weeks and possible longer. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
