My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the language is c++ under linux. Hello! The project sounds interesting to me. I'd like to clarify a few moments. Do I understand it right that you need a simple application with one input field and some output field plus some logic to calculate the output? So it would be basically one small window with a couple of user controls? Also do you have any preferences on the development environment? Would Visual Studio 2008 or 2013 be fine? Regarding the lightweight. If this application is going to be used only on Windows then I'd suggest making it Windows-only and write either in plain Win32 API or using lightweight WTL. The resulting executable file would be about 0,5 megabytes and would use native Windows controls. For example, a multiplatform application written with popular Qt framework, would need a couple of additional libraries around 9 MB. Thanks In Advance, Sergey.
