School Portal

We are a firm looking into the development of a portal system for schools. We require the service of a proficient developer with loads of technical know how in programming and application development. The portal system will have a database system that will be accessed both internet wise and intranet wise. A need for a mobile version will also be requested as students and personal may want to access the portal via PDAs or IPod Touch. The services need for the portal system will be: ** Ad Server ** Classified ** Contact Management ** Contest ** Email List Management ** Email Newsletter ** Community & Collaboration ** Forum / Message Board ** Messaging ** Photo Gallery ** Poll and Survey ** Postcard & Greeting Card ** Rating and Review ** Social Networking ** Content Management ** Blog ** Calendar / Event ** Document Management ** News - Publisher Edition ** News - Web 2.0 Edition ** Opinion / Editorial ** Personalization ** Membership / User Management ** Sports Guide ** Video Directory ** Website Directory ** eCommerce / eMall / eStore / Cart ** Education / Training ** e-Learning & Online Training ** PC-to-PC Calling ** Video Chatting ** Video Conferencing ** Gaming ETC. The use of open source application such as Moodle or .LRN or others that may be available will not be discourage as long as integration is perfect and there is consistency in the theme and layout. The interface should be simple such as facebook and the links to the applications should be well arranged. The theme should be built in a different folder in simple xhtml/php so that customization can be made easy by our team. An admin directory/interface is mandatory as deployed schools should be able to administer there portal themselves. The preferred/chosen person should be able to develop apps as games and other apps will be required and should be someone who will be able commit to a long time partnership. NB: A reference of such a job as this or similar will be an added advantage.
