This project is a movie festival portal that is divided into 3 parts, based on the type of user: 1) Filmmaker: for a fee I can set and change, payable through integrated paypal ipn, the filmmaker can upload 1 movie and only 1 movie per payment. Along with the upload the filmmaker must enter information about the film, credits, etc., which is entered into the database, and used to generate each films website. 2) viewer: regular viewers watch for free and can vote after signing up. I should be able to enter the start and end date for the festival, so it is only viewable to the outside public durring that time. Otherwise, peple will see a page with information on how to enter the film festival. 3) Judge: should be able to log in and vote on each film. Should be able to change voting criteria and create awards in the admin panel. Winners and runners up are then put into the public festival. Should be able to create different awards and awards for different genre's. Filmmakers should also be able to submit to different genres. Should also be able to have no genre's if necessary. I have about 50% of the website done. User registration and validation is done, uploads are almost complete. A script for media browsing the movies is complete, but needs to be integrated to take film info from the databse. Also need to integrate authentication and voting into the browsing script. User registration form needs to add info for movie and then paypal button after validation. Web redesign to integrate new stuff. That is basically it. I started the project and can oversee and help with most of what needs to be done, but I don't have the time to finish it soon enough.
