Standalone program to change the order in which Outlook folders are listed in Outlook's folder tree. In terms of design, the program would open to display the Outlook folder tree; user clicks on a folder and then drags it to the desired new location in the Folder Tree. Note that dragging a folder will drag its subfolders, as well. Typical Shift-Click and Ctrl-Click behavior: Shift-click will select all folders between the top and bottom one clicked to be moved together; Control-Click allows the user to add folders, one at a time, to the selection to be moved. User could also use the UpArrow and DownArrow keys to move a selected folder or group of folders, as opposed to dragging them. The user also needs to ability to restore what would be the default Outlook folder order (pretty much alphabetical, except that "Junk Mail", "Outbox", "Sent Items", "Search Folders", etc., are always outside of the alphabetically listed folders within Personal Folders). This would require a button to "Restore Outlook Default Folder Order". I would also like the user to have the ability to save the Folder Order configuration at any given moment so that the user can switch between commonly needed ways in which to organize the folders. This would require a "Save Folder Order" button which would open a dialog box giving the user the opportunity to name the FolderOrder configuration file (I guess we could use the file extension ".cfo" unless you would create these files as simple text files, in which case even .log or .txt would do, although I'd prefer a unique extension) and to specifiy the location where it should be saved. Then there would also be, of course, an "Apply Folder Order" button which would open a dialog box giving the user the opportunity to select one of the saved FolderOrder files to apply to the Folder Tree. App to be in VB6. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. * Source code must be provided with each submission, not only at the conclusion of the project, and must be fully commented so that the purpose of each procedure is clear. * 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
