I am looking for a program that can have data entered into it via a webpage, store that data, and output that data into another webpage in specified locations. This gizmo will show users what colors some people see when they look at black text. Thus, I (the website owner) want to be able to create [black] text that will, when the user moves their mous over each letter of the text, change the color of that letter/number/character. For instance, if I write in there "ABC", it will look like black text until the user mouse over the A, which will then turn red. When onmoused, it will go back to black. With a mouseover, B would turn blue, and when unmoused, back to black. Etc. I would like it to be possible to have more than one of these on a page, to show what person 1's view looks like, person 2's view, etc. (Each person will have about a paragraph for example.) To that effect, I need an interface where I can change the colors of each character for each person I have. For instance, in one person's example, I'd want A to be red, B to be blue, C to be orange, etc. But in another person's example, I want A to be green, B to red, C to be yellow, etc. All capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and other symbols, such as punctuation and dollar signs and such, need to be able to work. I need to be able to pick the colors by entering RGB values. My worries: if it's a java applet, it might be able to easily screw up on browsers; the program might be bulky and be extremely slow if more than one is on a page; the program won't work with IE and NS and maybe Linux browsers. I am hoping that with your design, none of these concerns will be an issue. ADDED: Please check out the attached file. If the gizmo could make the characters on either side of the "lit up" character half "light up", that would be really neat, although it might complicate the programming. Just as a NB, the reason I don't want to do this with text onmouseovers/outs is because a) there are too many characters to deal with, and b) the CSS-like info would be about a mile long. ## Deliverables - Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. - Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform My pages are HTML .php files. I have access to my site's FTP, MySQL, etc. If it matters, my hosting server is Unix. ## Deadline information (Note on the price: This is for a personal/educational website, so I'm hoping the cost will not be more than I can afford for the project.)
