We need a web interface that allows employees to log in and enter contact information into a sql2000 database. It needs to screen for duplicate information and log the number of contacts added and by who.
## Deliverables
Here are the details of what we need. Please look it over and see if it's something you can do and provide us with an estimate of what's involved in terms of time and money. We are setting up a database to store all our marketing contacts. It will also contain a list of our marketing campaigns and history of what was sent to whom and when. It will also track when the contact was added and the last time they were contacted. We will then use a program called gammadyne mailer ( [login to view URL] ) to select a list of contacts based upon what industry they are in and the last time they were contacted and then use that selection to send out faxes and/or emails. It will use a sql query to select the contacts and then use a post-send op to update the database history table of what was sent to whom and when. This database (it's currently in access format - will need to upsize it to our sql2000 server) has been put together already and I have attached it so you can take a look at it. We have a fax board on our server and the program sends the fax by emailing the message to 3235551212@[login to view URL] and then the fax software converts that email into a fax and sends it. This means that all the fax numbers have to have '@[login to view URL]' appended after the fax number. We were originally planning on using the form in the access database to add contacts but then decided that it would be better to outsource this task and hire other people to collect and add contacts. This is where you come in. We need a web interface where the employee can log in with a username and password and see a form where they can enter in all the contact information (the employee table portion of the database hasn't been created yet - you won't see it in the attached database) We also need it to log who entered which contacts and when - this is for payment. We also need a page where we can pull up each users log which totals contacts added each day - displaying the list of contacts and at the bottom the total number added that day. Both us and the employee should be able to view this (the user would only be able to view their own list of added contacts, not the other users'). And it would only display the company name, contact name and state of the contact. We also need a page that any user can pull up showing the entire list of contacts in the database, but only display the company name, contact name and state. This would be sorted by company name. This would be used so they can see if the contact they are adding is already in the database (in order to save time). It should be organized into alphabetical tabs - click on "A" to see all companies beginning with "A", click on "B" to see all companies beginning with "B", etc. This will prevent the list from becoming very very long. There would also need to be a trigger that checks to see if the fax number being added is already in the database. If it is then it would display the contact already in the database and give the employee the option of canceling or continue to add the contact. Finally we need a web form that we can add numbers to the do not contact table (no login/password is needed for this form). That should do it. If you have any questions please let me know and I will clarify anything that you need more information on. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Nurhan Thompson Discount Two-Way Radio
## Platform
The web interface will run on our web server which is a Windows 2003 machine. The database will run on a seperate windows 2003 machine with SQL2000.
