We are working on Zencart shopping cart solution for our ecommerce website. Currently our web order volume is very low and we are hoping that it would pickup down the road. We currently have 3 methods for calculating the Product pricing and shipping Charges. Currently Zencart allows any one method for shipping and handling calculation mechanism. But we want all the three methods to be used. Here is a brief description of different shipping and handling calculations:
1st Method (for Books):
If customer purchases 1 book shipping Charge should be 9.5 and each extra book 1.00$.
Ex: if they order 5 books shipping charges like 9.5 + 4 = 13.5
NOTE: Here we are using volume based shipping.
2nd Method (for Forms):
Forms shipping and pricing method is different like discount based
Cases Product Price Shipping Charges
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-4 $32.48/case $6.99/case
5-9 $29.98/case $5.99/case
10-39 $27.48/case $4.99/case
40-100 $22.48/case $3.99/case
Example:
1-4 Cases Product Price is $32.48/Case and the Shipping charges are $6.99/Case
32.48 x 4 Cases = $129.92 (Product Price for 4 Cases)
6.99 x 4 Cases = $27.96 for 4 cases (Shipping Charges)
129.92 + 27.96 = $157.88 for 4 cases (Product Price + Shipping Charges)
NOTE: Here we are using discount method on prices and shipping charges.
3rd Method (for Envelops):
For envelope we have drop down menu like Plain and Imprint
Ex: if customer orders plain Envelops
22.5 + 3.99 Shipping charges
If customer orders Imprint Envelops
22.5 + 40.00 (Imprint price) + 3.99 Shipping charges
Note: here we are using flat method for shipping
