I need a program writing in c/c++ to run on Linux. On execution it will run as a daemon in the background and listen on a configurable IP and port. It will only accept connections from configurable remote IP addresses. On accepting a connection it will accept a command, with parameters, then depending on which command it is, it will do one of the following:
1) search a specified text file for the string provided
2) remove a block of text from the text file
3) add a block of text to the text file
The text file is the username/password file for a RADIUS server that runs on the same system, the blocks of text to add/remove are the RADIUS attributes for a particular dialup user.
All the configurable variables should be contained within one config text file.
Source code should be well documented and written to allow easy modification/expansion at a later stage.
In short, we need to add/delete and search for users on the RADIUS system, from a seperate server.
