I have a lot of files on my computer, more often than not it ends up cluttered, what I am looking for is something like Hazel (at $28 USD) without the fancy features; a little like Lazy File Sorter (freeware) without the complicated installation (.jar). The default Automator of MAC OSX is not user-friendly so I decided to look for a program that is in .dmg and built to get files organised. Sorting programs are usually free on the web, but they have features that I do not really need and some has complicated installation methods and worst of all; not guaranteed to work on MAC.
To sum it all up it must do the following:
Sort files according to:
File Name
File Size
File Type
Date Modified
Date Added
(including folder sorting)
Additional Options (within the UI):
Create Folder
Delete Files
Delete Folders
Move Files
Move Folders
Compress Files
All of these on a drop-down menu or radio buttons within the UI. The UI colour and style is similar to the Finder window on MAC (blue grey and white shades only).
The UI must be clean and simple but most importantly it must work on MAC OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and also backward compatible (must at least work on Snow Leopard without issues). The deadline is on the 22nd of November, so regular communication is required.
