Chess website change game mode from php to ajax and challenge mode also

I have a chess website in php,it has all that he needs,but the function game mode is in php wich means you must refresh page to see the move adversay made,so i want this to be made in ajax or flash this function(when 2 players are having a match) to be able to move instantly and challenger offers to be on the same page(player page) with the users who are online wich are playing or are idle.
