We run a mathematics website, and we need somebody to convert lessons in MS Word format into XHTML Strict 1.0 format. The XHTML template and base CSS files have been created. Your job is to deliver 5 pages a week, every week, for $100 a month.
## Deliverables
CSS/XHMTL coder - 20 pages / $100 monthly
Hello,
Are you experienced, confident and competent with XHTML/CSS? Able to work hard to a high standard, deliver on time, and looking for regular work? Then read on.
We run a mathematics website, and we need somebody to convert an author's lessons in MS Word format into XHTML format.
The lessons are kept short and averages 2 MS Word pages in length.
The winning bidder will be sent 6 lessons per week. Payment of $100 will be sent every 4 weeks (i.e. after coding 24 pages.)
We're looking for a steady relationship with the right coder - somebody prepared to allocate a few hours a week, every week, and work to a weekly deadline, in return for a regular monthly payment.
Technical Notes:
1) 66 lesson pages have already been coded, so there are plenty of examples to work from. All pages are based on a common template which you'll use. The base CSS has already been created too. There should be very little new CSS required.
2) Please note this is a Math site, and not all functions are available in XHTML, so you will sometimes be required to take screen shots of the author's math functions and code them into the page as .png images.
3) The author includes a quiz per lesson. You will need to add questions into the Javascript quiz
and update each lesson's Answer file. You don't need any Javascript skills for this, just a keen eye and attention to detail.
4) All the XHTML / CSS must pass the W3C standards for level 1.0 Strict. You should be familiar with the HTML validator and Web Develop Toolbar plugins used in the FireFox browser.
When placing your bid, please list your experience and why you think you're suited to this project. We will then send sample pages to the short listed applicants.
Please note we are looking for reliability here. You'll be given a checklist to follow. You need to deliver working pages every week within 2 days of receiving the word documents. The pages aren't hard to code, but you need to deliver on time every week. The last coder couldn't manage this and has lost the contract as a result.
