YUME DOCUMENTATION Integration requires an understanding of how to develop web pages and applications using ActionScript, JavaScript, CSS & HTML. You should be familiar with the fundamentals of XML and have a basic knowledge of online media formats including image and video. You can use your preferred text editing program to access most source files. You will also need to have access and familiarity with the Adobe Flash, Flex and AIR tools depending on your minimum integration requirements; Flash 8 for our AS2 SDK, Flash CS3 for our AS3 SDK, the Flex SDK or FlexBuilder 3 for our Flex SDK and the AIR SDK for our AIR SDK. Since our SDK uses platform independent technology and standards, you can develop on any platform you choose as long as you have the tools to build a Flash SWF or AIR runtime from source files. A web server and connection to the Internet is all you need for just browsing through the working examples included with the YuMe SDK. The web server you’ll use for your own testing can be local to your own network or development machine. Later, during the QA process, we may ask you to host your YuMe integrated player on a semi-public web page for YuMe to validate. Below is a quick overview of the steps you’ll take to modify your player to make an ad request to YuMe. 1. Create an empty MovieClip, attach it to the root level, then load the provided YuMe Network Library SWF into this new MovieClip. 2. Parameters passed into your player via JavaScript will be loaded into a YuMe parameter object. This object contains properties such as the URL to request an ad, the size of your Stage, the ad type you’re requesting, the volume, and a few other parameters. 3. Create event listeners, attach them to the parent MovieClip so that you can handle YuMe Network and Ad Player events like “ad_completed??, “ad_reopened??. 4.
