I can make this happen for you in 15 days, I'd love to see your examples. I've got plenty of experience with WordPress and trading card games. Got a good feeling we can nail this one. :) I'd start out by creating the table structure needed for the cards, and write a hook into the comment edit bar for either a card building interface or card selection. I have not seen your examples yet, but I'm sure we can get something together that you love.
