Here are 3 days of work for a B2B site built on Prestashop that will convert into a long-term collaboration (2-3 years). There is only one customer – a large Italian public entity - which is organised by cost account centers (CAC) and each of the CAC have their own internal warehouse with the products of the catalogue. 1. Employees of the company can order products through the portal. 2. For each CAC there is one approver who can approve, reject or modify the request at order line level. 3. There is one Buyer per CAC, who receives the requests approved by the approver and checks the internal warehouse availability. a. If the product is in the warehouse, he will pass the request to the warehouse manager who needs to take charge of the order. b. If the product is not in the warehouse, he will pass the request for further approval. 4. When the CAC Buyer has passed a certain amount of requests for approval, he submits them as a group. This becomes a request for order. 5. The final buyer can approve or reject the grouped order request, after which the order is inserted manually in SAP or cancelled. There are two tasks: 1. The CAC Buyer could make a mistake, sending a request to the warehouse or for approval. Currently there is no way of correcting that. There should be a “recall” button that: a. Brings back the request to step 2. b. If it is a mixed request, that is one part has gone for order approval and the other part is gone to the warehouse, the situation must be managed. i. If the the warehouse manager has not yet taken charge and the final buyer has not yet approved there is no problem. Everything just goes back to state 2. ii. If one of the two “branches” has undergone a transformation, the mistake should go back to the original state, while the other branch continues its travel. 2. There should be a simple view with a data csv export of order line items with 17 fields, out of which filters could be applied on 11. That is the immediate work for which you will be paid. Then, I will have continuous maintenance requests on this site and on another B2B site of similar nature. Currently I spend about 4 days a month maintaining them. I will pass all that work to you, if you are interested. That means that you should get to know all customisations that I have done and IMPROVE it. I have implemented everything quite quick and dirty, not always respecting the Prestashop standards. For instance, there are a lot of DB calls directly in the controllers and so forth. The reason why you should improve that code is that there is a great possibility that another big player in the Italian market will buy this B2B solution soon, and I will hand over all the implementation to you. So you should be better off having a nice and clean code base to start with. I will send full sources and DBs for both current sites to the freelancer who is rewarded this project along with more details and info so he can get started quickly. I calculated - one day for understanding how everything is built on the site of interest for this project, - one day for building point 1 above - one day for implementing the excel export, planning the code improvement and also have a look at the second site. Note: the language for the primary site for this project is Italian while the second one is in English. You would probably need to use some Google translate for understanding everything but I will also help you to understand the most critical parts. Deadline for the implementatioin is Sunday nov 8th. We need to deploy on Monday. The rewarded freelancer will be selected Wednesday Nov 4th.
