Python running on Linux using raspberry pi to connect to a scale and transmit weights using Azure SignalR. • Each device will only connect to a single scale. • Serial connection is Com1, 9600, 8, none, 1 for now. • On the boot-up need to create a serial port connection with those settings. • On readline you first need to remove all nonnumeric characters. • Create a variable “lastweight” by default assign it 999999. • Check if scale weight is different then the lastweight. • If different use azure Signalr to pass the new weight using the ClientId = 1234 as the group and ScaleId =1 and weight. • If scale should be turned off, restarted, or just disconnect need to check the connection and reconnect if needed.
