Expertise developed includes SMTP, MIME, POP3, DNS, SPF, SpamAssassin, OpenSSL, Sender-ID etc among various other libraries and tools. Thorough understanding of the SMTP/POP3/MIME rfc standards. The application was written in C++ for Centos/Ubuntu Linux. Deep understanding of Linux internals, processes, systems programming and Sockets. Various shell scripts and production support utilities were developed. Strong debugging and analytical skills. You do not need to waste time on getting the networking layer quickly done (Can concentrate on the business layer more). Can take up the responsibility of installation and maintenance in Linux environment. Good understanding and experience in usage of design patterns. Other technologies used for the project: MySQL, PHP/HTML/Javascript Currently working on a point of sale server software written in C++. Total years of experience: 6 years. I have working experience with email servers supporting POP, SMPT, EXCHANGE and IMAP protocols. Also have good understanding of network and datacom protocols. One thing that needs to be considered is I will not be venturing into web programming as this is one area I never got to work and would like to maintain my work efficiency for non-web application/component development.
