Hi, I have a very old DOS program that is used to work with a old marker/printing machine. The problem checks for a PARALLEL port dongle on start as a security measurement. The program is over 20 years old, so no support, no vendor, nothing. I would like to know if it is possible to decompile the program, find the routine that checks for the dongle, make it return always TRUE, as if the dongle was there, and then recompile the program again. Thanks JP

Hello I have over 15 years of experience in several programming languages. I started programming from MS Dos 6.22 and i have great experience in debugging and reverse engineering. This sounds like an interesting project and i believe i can help you with that. Of course it is possible to patch your exe so it can work without that parallel hardware lock. Can you please send me a copy of your exe so i can take a look at it? You don't have to hire me before i confirm i can fix your exe. Sincerely, Ali
