Hi all, I have a large database access/csv relating to independent events, like a number of horse races, or a number of soccer games. Each row is a competitor, and there is then a number of columns of data relating to that competitor. There is a column/cell on each row with text that is unique to each event. I.e. there may be 2-24 rows per event. I am attempting to use this data to predict the winner of the event in Azure but cannot get it to treat each event independently - it rates every row in the database from 0-1 (1 being winner) as if it where one big event. I am looking for assistance in getting this working and choosing the most appropriate Algorithm, so I can run it myself going forward, and perhaps also normalising some data. There could be more work over time as project evolves. Azure preferred as I have access to it but will consider other similar programs, depending on how much I have to pay to use them. Hello! I', attempting to solve your problem relating to treating those rows as independent events. So, here are somethings to consider: Do you have any identifier that helps to separate these? Is there a nominal categorical variable in the dataset? If we were to treat them like that instead of a value in the colimns, we caould use it to separate the events first. Here is something: In R we could treat them together by placing a category for each event. Since, the data doesn;t know what is what, unless you tell it so, explicitly. It is immaterial whetehr you are using AzureML or something else, since you can always pre-process data accrding to the platform you re using whether Amazon MXNet or Tensorflow or AzureML. If you get my point? Let me knowww any doubt or problem in doing so, then we can see a soulition for it. Thanks!
