I am working with high school students to design a robotic Owl for Florida Atlantic Owl where the Owl is the University mascot. The students can handle the animatronics portion of the Owl but do not have the 3D modeling skills. We have purchased the following 3ds max snowy owl model([login to view URL]) and wanted to use it as a starting point to take the existing FAU 2D Owl([login to view URL]:[login to view URL]) and stylize the snowy owl model. I really like the mechanical nature of this owl [login to view URL] where in the adaptation we want to be able to print the parts of the model that are then used on the robotic Owl. The goal would be to combine the three forms of the Owl(3Ds max owl, 2D FAU Owl and a futuristic/tough/robotic) into a worthy robotic mascot. Timeline is tight where the students are working to have the robot done by November 1st so it could be shown at homecoming. Would want preliminary versions in the next two weeks.
