I am a native romanian speaker and often I find myself watching Netflix stream and correcting the subtitles for my wife and describing her the ideea and the context that actually was ment by the film director and not the ideea transmitted by the subtitles. So i guess that makes me the man for the job ;)

Not only I'm Romanian, but also I'm a die-hard cinephile and always dreamed of writing subtitles. With all due respect, I disagree with you. I think maybe 60% of the subtitles are correct. That's because the Romanian language has a pretty special slang and culture that can't be found on Google and that even "certified translators" can't always replicate. From jokes, to curse words, a lot are translated in a basic way, that make it look fake. A viewer will enjoy a movie / series if he/she is immersed in the action and can relate with the character. Because dopamine is released when the movie makes you think about how awesome would be to be you in the shoes of the character. It's very important that the subtitles feel real and that the viewer percieve exactly what the movie creators wanted. I would love to help you achieve this. The price will be project based, so that it will reflect the amount of time and research needed and we'll discuss it together so we'll both be happy.
