Expert Mattermost Platform Revamp - UI/UX, Integration, and Migration

Greetings, We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in open-source platform customization, UI/UX enhancements, and seamless integration to lead the comprehensive revamp of our existing Mattermost platform. Our vision is to transform it into a more engaging, efficient, and user-friendly communication tool under the new identity. As a dedicated expert, you will be responsible for implementing a range of changes to both the server-side configuration and the various client applications. Responsibilities: Application Identity Transformation: Rebrand the entire platform including logo, app names, and branding assets. UI/UX Enhancements: Develop and apply a refreshing color theme that aligns with the brand. Implement transition animations to enhance the user experience. Redesign layout for improved usability and aesthetic appeal. Startup Animations: Create new captivating animations for the startup of Desktop, Mobile, and Web applications. Streamlined Communication: Merge Channels and Direct messages into a unified sidebar tray or a single list view. Implement automatic addition of new users to relevant channels upon registration. Enable designated public channel admins to facilitate porting for other read-only channels. User Master Management: Develop a comprehensive user master system incorporating employee ID, department, reporting hierarchy, location, and designation. Identify and classify users who have not filled basic details as "outside users" (guest users). Restrict outside users (guest users) from accessing public channels. Jitsi Integration: Seamlessly integrate the open-source Jitsi video call and meeting tool for enhanced communication capabilities. Single Sign-On (SSO): Establish a secure and efficient Single Sign-On setup for user authentication and login. Data Migration: Migrate existing Zoho Cliq user data, chat history, and channels to the new platform. ESS Portal Creation: Replace Boards and Playbooks with a new Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal for improved resource accessibility. Mobile Application Specifics: Initial Setup Enhancement: Address and rectify server URL setup issues for all users during the first-time login. Mobile UI/UX Refinement: Redesign the mobile application interface to mirror the user-friendliness of popular communication apps like WhatsApp. Requirements: Extensive Experience: A proven track record of over 15 years in customizing and revamping open source platforms, with a focus on Mattermost or similar communication tools. UI/UX Expertise: Profound expertise in UI/UX design and implementation, ensuring the creation of a visually appealing and intuitive interface. Integration Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in integrating third-party tools like Jitsi and SSO solutions seamlessly into existing platforms. Data Migration: Prior experience in migrating data from one platform to another, preserving chat history and user data. Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies for implementing the required changes.
