eBay API Project

Good afternoon. We are planning on developing a product shortly which will use the eBay API. I’m hoping to get a quote from your company for certain pieces of the application. I have some experience with the eBay API as I have developed basic monitoring tools for customers based on the individual tier, i.e. one product for one customer with one ebay account. This product however will have multiple subscribers each with their own eBay account. I’ll give you a brief rundown of what we are trying to achieve Its basically a listing and monitoring tool for UK motor dealers to list their vehicles on eBay. The system will all be web based in ASP.NET 2.0 and each “subscriber” will log into the system with their own username/password. From their they will see a list of their cars already on this system and will be able to add/modify/delete etc. They will also be able to upload up to 32 pictures per vehicle which will be stored on our servers. From there they select a template and hit a button and the system will create a new item on eBay. We will take care of all this data entry, what we need from you is the actual integration with the API. We’ll need functionality for people to register their ebayID for use on the system which I presume will generate a token which we’ll store in our DB and use for future listings for that subscriber. We’ll also need you to take care of item specifics, our data source will have all this information like ABS, Airbag, Immobiliser etc as well as Date Of Registration, Mileage, Colour etc. Basically you will need to take this information and sort out the charactoristicsID to generate the attributes for the listing. We’ll also supply the other obvious information like categoryID, title, subtitle, startprice etc Then theres the monitoring system, this will be basically a datagrid which will take certain information from our database, and certain information from the API based on the token of the currently logged on user. It will give the user a rundown of the status of their auctions and we’ll also have functionality for things like “End Listing Immediately” etc I should stress that we are experienced developers and we’ll take care of the program flow and the look and feel of the application. All we’ll really need from yourselves is the code to integrate as it would take us too long to study the API and SDK ourselves.
