Hi there, Currently I'm using an AutoHotkey script to copy the current timestamp when playing a movie in VLC and then paste it into a specific cell in Excel (script attached.) I would like to build off of that to also paste the current subtitle (if one is on screen) to a separate cell. I'm not sure if it can be done. An OCR solution might be fine, but I can usually find an .srt file for the movie, so maybe it could reference that based on the current timestamp? I'm always working off of the ripped version of the movie, so if it could access the actual embedded subtitles of the film that would be ideal. We have multiple pdf file; we will want to create a config file that will give the position of the objects on the pdf file. There could be multiple pages in the pdf, so you will need to specify every page. There are 2 options The job will read all the pages and get position of every object on the page. There will be a frontend where we will mark only the objects that we need to get the dimension and we can then put that in the config file. The config file will be simple properties (or text file) that will store information like below example. First page is 00, 2nd page is 01, and so forth.
This project requires the conversion of a PDF document to Excel and includes Arabic and English. OCR conversion by a PDF reader will not work due to the fact that there are diacritics ( ْ ِ ٍ َ ً ُ ٌ ) which are not read by PDF readers and there are other spelling issues. As such this must be done by hand and with critical attention to detail due to the nature of the work. There are 2600 total lines that need to be completed, and this could be done quickly and easily by a native Arabic speaker with good typing skills.
