We seek an expert-level Shopify Web Developer for the configuration of a Shopify e-commerce website. We sell high-quality meat online for delivery to customers' homes in the UK. We are looking for theme customization (we have set up the site using the Showcase theme), integration of shipping and other applications, ongoing content updates, and website maintenance. We want to establish a long-term working relationship directly with an experienced developer. No agencies, please. Applicant must be located within two time zones of the UK. Project Overview: Our company specializes in the delivery of high-quality frozen meats throughout England and Scotland. The selected candidate will be responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining our e-commerce website site to elevate our customers' online shopping experience, increase conversions, improve site functionality, and update contact continuously. Key Responsibilities: - Website Configuration & Customization: - Improve the user experience and functionality of our site. - Customize the Shopify Showcase theme with our branding and content. - Configure Shopify apps designed for affiliate tracking and management, sales attribution, referral incentives, and conversion optimization. -Configure and integrate the shipping app and set up the shipment settings - Product Management: - Manage product listings, pricing, sales, and integration with inventory and shipping systems. - Optimize the site to ensure an exceptional user experience, increase conversion rates, and improve SEO performance. - User Experience Enhancement: - Refine site navigation and on-site marketing features such as refer-a-friend, email sign-ups, and affiliate programs. - Ensure mobile responsiveness and compatibility of content across devices and browsers. - Integration & Automation: - Seamlessly integrate and resolve functionalities with third-party applications. - Utilize AI for process automation where applicable. - Ongoing Site Maintenance and Support: - Continuously introduce new features and troubleshoot issues as they arise. - Monitor, track, and report on key performance metrics on an ongoing basis. -Generate ideas to improve both user experience and team performance Skills and Qualifications: -Attention to detail and common sense . - Demonstrated expert-level experience in Shopify store configuration, management, and conversion optimization. - Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integration and configuration of Shopify applications. - Expert-level knowledge about Shopify's API and external integrations. - Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. - Excellent command of the English language. - Available to work within UK business hours. - At least five years of experience in the development and optimization of e-commerce websites - Open to using AI tools to improve business performance
