Transfer info from old to new filemaker project

I have a contact system for my repairs. Which has all the records(contact name,device,repair details) in one table. I made a new system now and i need to trasfer them in the new system(FM 2018). I made a script to trasfer them but i have a problem with this script. It dublicates the names of the customers and in same customer i will see 2 or 50 times in the contacts table. This problem is made because in the new system (FM2018) i have 3 tables. 1 table for contacts,1 for device and 1 for repair details. I need someone to make me a script which will check if the customer name is already in database so it dont dublicate it. Also the person that will make this i will suggest it for some projects more in the new FM2018. Because the files are personal info i will send them only to the programmer which make the script.
